The Chamber’s guide to Brixham has been updated for 2019 and is now available.

This is a continuation of the project that we started in 2017 with the aim of attracting greater numbers of visitors to our town.

Liz Pippett, who manages tourism for the chamber said “We printed 30,000 of the guides in 2018 and once again demand outstripped supply with copies being requested and stocked as far afield as Yorkshire, Derbyshire and of course the West Midlands (M4/M5 corridor). We also saw an increase in guides being requested from the south coast such as Brighton and Bournemouth and London’s uptake was bigger than 2017. Locally our big distribution was via the Premier Inn and Travel Lodge, holiday centres in Dawlish and Teignmouth plus major attractions in the area. We have had an increasing number of requests for a separate central area map which I’m delighted to say we have been able to produce this year..”

Matt Crabtree, chair of the chamber said “We are able to carry out these kinds of projects because of the income we receive from memberships and from our successful Art and Craft and Sunday Markets. So I should like to thank our members and membership managers, Lynne Peets and Alex Foley, and our market traders and our market managers, Chris Slack and Ian Didlick, for making this possible. Many thanks also to Liz Pippett for all the work she has undertaken in producing these items.”
