*BREAKING NEWS!* HMRC to waive self assessment penalties until 28th February 2022!

Today HMRC has announced that they will not charge:
โœ… Late filing penalties for those who file online by 28โ€Œโ€Œ โ€ŒFebruary 2022.
โœ… Late payment penalties for those who pay the tax due in full or set up a payment plan by 1โ€Œโ€Œ โ€ŒApril 2022.

However, HMRC is encouraging customers to file by 31st January and pay on time if they can.

Time to Pay options are still available to assist customers. Once you have filed your 2020-21 tax return, you can set up an online payment plan to spread Self Assessment bills of up to ยฃ30,000, over and up to 12 monthly instalments.

The payment deadline for Self Assessment is 31โ€Œโ€Œ โ€ŒJanuary and interest will be charged from 1โ€Œโ€Œ โ€ŒFebruary on any amounts outstanding.
