Surf and leisure clothing chain Saltrock has announced that it intends to open a store in Brixham in the near future.
A spokesman for the company confirmed that it is looking at the unit in Fore Street formerly occupied by Dorothy Perkins — the other half of which is about to become a Costa Coffee shop. The Costa shop is being fitted out at the moment and will open shortly.
The news has been warmly welcomed by the town’s Chamber of Commerce. Vice-chairman Keith Williams said “Brixham is fast developing a great reputation for individual and shops and quality restaurants. The town has enjoyed another bumper year with great feedback from its visitors. The acquisition of these two units can only enhance the experience and encourage further footfall to the town.”
Saltrock hopes its new store will be open before Christmas. Their spokesman said: “We’re very excited about becoming part of the Brixham community.
“The store will provide several permanent jobs for local people plus a great opportunity for seasonal work.”
The company is now advertising for staff on its website: http://www.saltrock.com/blog/index.php/store-manager-team-new-saltrock-stores-across-the-south-west/
