To mark Exporting is GREAT Week (18-22 April), Devon Chamber of Commerce is inviting businesses to attend a free international trade event on Wednesday 20th April at Santander PLC offices, Exeter, marking a new joint venture to promote International Trade. Devon Chamber of Commerce has joined forces with Devon International Trade Forum to provide a new resource for businesses across Devon engaging in all forms of International Trade.

Having become the accredited Chamber for Devon in 2015, Devon Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Devon International Trade Forum to provide quarterly events for businesses, alongside a strong online presence providing support, advice and signposting for businesses interested in international trade. This new partnership builds on the success of the well-established Plymouth International Trade club, expanding the support and services provided via the regular events to a county audience.

Cate Taynton, Head of Commercial Projects at Devon Chamber of Commerce said: “Devon Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be launching this new International Trade partnership with Devon International Trade Forum as part of Export Week 2016. International Trade offers businesses a range of positive prospects for growth, and this launch event will provide attendees with an overview of how the Chamber and its partners can support them in exploring the variety of overseas opportunities available to harness growth. I’d like to thank Santander, the Chamber’s International Trade Patron for hosting this launch event and look forward to welcoming many businesses to discuss exporting on 20th April.”

The Forum will bring together key partners and businesses to address national issues, collect information on performance and specific issues that have arisen in particular markets, lobby and influence government policy on international trade issues and discuss the delivery of products and services across the globe. The launch event, hosted by Santander, will include an expert panel and discussion, providing attending businesses the opportunity to meet other importers / exporters from across Devon and help shape the support that Devon businesses need to grow their business overseas.

Tim Sheehan, Chair of Devon International Trade Forum said “ We are delighted to be able to work with Devon Chamber of Commerce in the promotion of international trade services and events throughout Devon, but most importantly to be able to give as much help, guidance and advice to those companies involved in the overseas market place.”

The launch of Devon International Trade Forum, supported by Devon Chamber of Commerce will take place from 6pm-8pm on Wednesday 20th April at Santander PLC, Milford House, Pynes Hill, Exeter. For more information and to register visit: www.devonchamber.co.uk.
