The sun is making a reappearance, bulbs are blooming and the winter coat is beginning to feel a little heavy.

All sure signs that warmer weather is coming and Spring is just around the corner. With the arrival of the new season comes the Sunday Market organized by Brixham Chamber of Commerce .

On the 9th March, for the first time this year the Sunday Market set up its stalls along Fore Street, Brixham from 10am to 4pm.  The market specializes in fresh local foods including breads and buns, cheeses, meats, pasties, gluten-free baked items, honeys, juices and preserves and and hand crafted items such as jewellery, cushions, paintings/prints and garden ornaments. There are also specialty hot foods of local and international origin.

Jo Choppin of The West Country Deli who manages the Sunday Markets said “The Sunday Markets proved to be extremely popular last year. We are aiming to build on that success this season and have an even better range of local produce and delicacies plus some unique hand crafted items on offer. Many local shops are also open and if you need a break, there are a superb variety of cafes, bars and coffee shops to choose from.”

The Brixham Sunday Market continues throughout the year on the second Sunday of each month. The next Sunday Market is on 12th April from 10am to 4pm, Fore Street, Brixham.

April also heralds the start of the ever popular Brixham Art and Craft Market which takes places every Saturday in the Old Fishmarket by the harbour.
