Masion et Vie is a lifestyle and interiors boutique, located in Middle Street, Brixham.

We opened in July 2016, originally as Tooth & Claw, and stock a small but wonderful selection of the coolest home/lifestyle design brands, nestled along side our vintage and antique finds. Our boutique has been described by our customers as “a little bit of Brooklyn or Shoreditch, in Brixham”

April 2018 saw a re-brand of our retail operation and a change of shop name to Maison et Vie.

This change also saw us focusing more on lifestyle product and we now stock unisex T-shirts, Unisex fragrances, Vintage Kimonos and small lifestyle/design brands for men & women.

All the brands we work with have a strong ethics and are working to positively change working conditions and the impact of manufacture on the environment.

We are passionate about supporting small design bands and most, but not all, of the designers we work with are UK based. Some are based in Europe.

We also now offer interior design and styling services – if you are a B&B wanting to revamp or refresh rooms do get in touch.

Background:

Andrea’s background lies mostly within the Fashion industry – as a Retail Manager & buyer for high end Designer brands in London, including Vivienne Westwood for several years. She also ran a high-end concept/lifestyle design store in Notting Hill. Moving slightly away from fashion and more into interiors, Andrea finally worked as Showroom Manager & Buyer for British Design Maestro Tom Dixon, before leaving London and moving to beautiful Brixham.

Jamie’s background centres mainly around the design industries – in web design and print design.

We also have our own design brand – Tooth & Claw – producing our own designs of wallpaper and soft furnishings. At our very first design show in London, we were picked out by the prestigious British and European Design Group, to be one of a small group of exemplary design brands, to promote Contemporary British design to overseas markets in association with the UK DTI.  As Tooth & Claw, we are passionate about supporting British industry, and all of our own products are proudly manufactured in the UK.
