Come and join the Chamber’s next open meeting on Tuesday April 18th at 7pm at the Berry Head Hotel. Our open meetings are a chance to hear the latest news from the Chamber, network with local business owners, and each month we have a series of guest speakers on topical themes.

The schedule for April 18th includes:

1. The Brixham Chamber Centenary Awards: The Official Launch!
2023 is the 100th year a Chamber of Commerce has operated in Brixham. To commemorate this centenary we are organising a special project this year: The Centenary Awards. Aaron Dowling will be unveiling the details this evening.

2. Shoalstone Pool: Problems and Plans
Shoalstone faces a significant challenge due to damage to its foundations that have worsened in recent years. Dave Barter of the Shoalstone Pool CIO will talk to us about the Save The Waves campaign

3. Festivals & Events
In the coming spring and early summer months there are many festivals, new and old, taking place in Brixham and Torbay. Speakers will update members on what to expect.

4. BATS: The Steps of Brixham
Brixham Art & Theatre Society are creating a special resource for Brixham.  Called Brixham Walks, it will be an interactive online map that will feature many different aspects of our lovely town; the first aspect of this is an online walk up and down our many steps, with historical guides along the way. Cecelia Kean will be introducing this map.

5. Brixham Development Academy / Brixham Town FC
Over the last few years Shaun Langdon has built a new business on North Boundary Road, primarily teaching & supporting our young people via opportunities to play football. Brixham town FC play on the same site… except right now they don’t, because of rules about on-site changing facilities. Shaun will talk about his Development Academy and the help he needs from local businesses and residents.

Our open meetings are open to everyone, including non-members. There is no need to book, but if you plan to attend it is helpful to RSVP to hospitality@brixhamchamber.co.uk.
