Brixham Chamber of Commerce has a long and proud heritage and in November 2013, it is celebrating its 90th anniversary.
Since 1923, the Chamber has been working with Brixham businesses of all sizes and sectors, providing organisations with practical support, useful connections and representation in local, regional and national issues.
As part of a recent review of its operations, the Chamber has completed the first stage of rebranding, re-appraising the value it provides and re-structuring its communications to reflect those values on an ongoing basis.
Jacqui Shaw, head of the Chamber rebranding committee said “After a tendering process, Brixham-based IMS Marketing was selected to work on our branding and communications. We now have a new logo which is clear, crisp and contemporary and gives us a consistent identity for use in all our marketing activities. The Chamber recently contributed £2000 for the Park and Ride in Churston and have just placed a roadside banner with the new logo to highlight this. (see photo) . Our new website, www.brixhamchamber.co.uk accurately reflects who we are, what we do, why we do it as well as having a business directory for members “.
Mike Franchi, Marketing Director at IMS said; “As purely voluntary, self-funded organization, the Chamber achieves a huge amount with limited resources. We wanted the new website to show just what it achieves as well as feature improved design, enhanced content and extended functionality for members. In addition, by streamlining some of the more repetitive but necessary Chamber management processes through the website, we can free up time to be used more creatively elsewhere.
“Within days of the site going live, we were delighted that that Carolyn Custerson singled it as an example of ‘Best Practise’ at the ERTC Tourism event recently for inclusion of the ERTC Events widget. “
