Following the success of last year’s Global Enterprise Week, business support organisations from across South Devon are coming together for the South Devon Business Festival on Friday 18 July at the South West Energy Centre at South Devon College. The Business Festival will offer a one-stop shop showcasing different types of business support which are available to those interested in starting up a business or have recently started up a new business.
The event will also include presentations from experts in their field providing practical advice and guidance on a range of topics including sales and marketing, social media and sources of finance.
This South Devon Business Festival is being supported by the TDA, Torbay Council, Outset Torbay and South West Investment Group. Those showcasing at the event also include The Princess Trust, Fredericks Foundation, South Devon College, Job Centre Plus, Torbay Social Enterprise Network, The Federation of Small Businesses, Torbay Business Forum and Re:work Social Enterprise.
Registration starts at 8.30am when the exhibition opens and presentations will take place throughout the morning. A complementary buffet lunch will be provided and the chance to network. There will also be an opportunity to see the new state of the art South West Energy Centre at South Devon College.
TDA Economy and Enterprise Manager, Carl Wyard said: “The South Devon Business Festival is another important event in the TDA’s business support calendar. It will be a great opportunity to understand the types of support which are available, get free practical advice and network with other people who are thinking of setting up a business and those who have already done so.”
