School for Startups are hosting free workshops across the Westcountry with training from one of the original Dragons from BBC’s Dragon’s Den, visionary businessman Doug Richard, to help new businesses get started.

These unique, intensive workshops are being funded as part of the Plymouth and South West Peninsula City Deal which aims to see 250 new businesses launched across the South West. The 6 week courses will run later this year at venues in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset – and organisers are keen to ensure as many entrepreneurs as possible book their place.

Doug Richard will run the training, worth £1,000, but there will be no cost to those selected to attend thanks to the City Deal funding.

Free information events are taking place throughout May at regional venues to further explain the course and start the workshop process, and there is an event in Torquay on Fri May 9th. This is open to any aspiring or new entrepreneur with a great idea for a business.
