EVERYONE with any interest in Torbay’s tourism industry is invited to celebrate English Tourism Week at the annual English Riviera Tourism and Business Exhibition on TUESDAY 15TH MARCH 2016. Held at the Riviera international Conference Centre this Trade Exhibition is not to be missed if you are a tourism business interested in updating your resort knowledge and networking with colleagues.

84 trade stands have booked to exhibit at the show with a wide range of businesses represented to support your business.
The programme for the day will be as follows:
- Morning Trade Exhibition – from 10am to 1.45pm on the ground floor of the Arena
- Complimentary Lunch & Networking – 12.00 to 12.45pm and 1pm to 1.45pm in the Rosetor Suite
- ERTC Spring Update from 2pm – 4.30pm in the Forum to include: Important Updates on The Future of Destination Marketing and the Tourism BID.
The West Country Tourism Conference takes place at the Westpoint Arena on the 10th and 11th February.
The 2016 conference builds on past success, with the event running over 2 consecutive mornings, each with a different theme. The 10th Feb will focus on ‘Managing & Developing Your Business’ and 11th Feb on ‘Marketing, Digital & PR’.
On the 23rd February up to 100 International Travel Trade Buyers, representing Group and FIT (Fully Independent Travel) Tour Operators will be staying in the bay and taking part in what we know in the industry as a ‘SPEED DATING’ Event being organised by ETOA (European Tourism Association). At this event there will be the opportunity for you to promote your business to around 20 International Buyers in pre-arranged face to face meetings, timed to last 12 minutes each. You will be given a programme of all your appointments at registration on the morning of the 23rd February.
The International Buyers operate in the following markets: North America, Australia, New Zealand, German speaking markets, Netherlands and Flemish Belgium, Ireland and Scandinavia and all those attending speak English. The costs to bring the International Buyers to the South West including travel and accommodation are being covered by the SWTGF. A charge of £99 per business is to apply to South West Suppliers (Accommodation, Attractions, Transport Operators, Guides, Activities) who would like to attend. This cost include approximately 20 pre-arranged appointments to meet the International Buyers, refreshments and lunch. This is excellent value for money when considering how much it would cost to independently reach these International Operators.
