Brixham will shortly have its own workhub – an ‘office when needed’ workspace where local freelancers and business people can access inspiring shared office facilities designed to appeal to the modern ways people work. The workhub, on the first floor of Brixham Town Hall, will operate a little like a gym with a membership system rather than rented desks etc. The idea is to create a buzzing centre where small (often home-based) businesses can collaborate with one another, use top quality equipment and meet clients in an impressive but friendly environment.
The workhub – and another in Torquay – are being supported by Torbay Development Agency following a successful application to Coastal Communities Fund and the European Regional Development Fund. The aim is to create and brand the Brixham workhub as a distinct local facility with its own identity.
