Brixham town centre will come alive with music and entertainment on the evening of Thursday 4th of December when Brixham Chamber hosts its Christmas Late Night Shopping Extravaganza.
There will be two performance areas, one at the harbourside and one on Fore Street, featuring local musicians Chris Thomas, Emily Howard and Colin Bache plus magic and comedy from the ever-popular Cosmo. There will also be carols and festive favourites from the Christmas choir. For younger visitors, Santa will be in attendance as well as a number of childrens’ attractions.
Many of Brixham’s traders will be open until 8pm and will be providing complimentary festive food and drink plus their very own special offers. Brixham has a great mix of shops, bars restaurants and cafes, over 190 outlets, including many independent retailers, well-known high street names, boutiques, designer stores, art and craft shops and many of the very best gift shops in the South West.
There is also the chance to take part in the “love brixham” Christmas Challenge which will be launched on the night and run till the end of the month. By collecting stickers from participating outlets, shoppers will have the chance to win £250 of Brixham shopping vouchers. And, as if that weren’t enough, the icing on this very special cake is FREE PARKING from 5-8pm in the Central Car Park.
Nigel Makin who leads the retail and town centre group of Brixham Chamber of Commerce said “We have a great package of free entertainment going on throughout the evening and some fantastic products available from our many outlets ideal for all ranges of Christmas gifts or as a festive treat for yourself. In addition, the amazing “love brixham” Christmas Challenge, which gives one lucky shopper the chance to win and then spend up to £250 in vouchers in Brixham outlets, is reason enough to re visit Brixham Town Centre.”
