Jacqui Shaw (Chair) and Mark Choppin (Sunday Markets and current Vice Chair) are not standing for re-election this year, both due to expanding business commitments. We thank them both for their significant contribution to our chamber over the last few years. We are therefore seeking high calibre,  forward thinking and driven business people with leadership experience to fill these and other positions in particular which are crucial to the success of the chamber and the wider representation of Brixham.

In the last twelve months, the chamber executive has led a number of exciting new initiatives, the aim of which has been to support businesses by driving up footfall in Brixham. We have made significant contributions to community projects and have also enjoyed considerable success in tackling a variety of problems on our members’ behalf. We have stepped in to prevent local businesses being disadvantaged by events behind the scenes and supported a number of exciting developments to the benefit of all Brixham businesses and residents.

Now, with elections coming up, we are seeking new executive members to help us consolidate and build on these gains. New people bring fresh skills and perspectives to the chamber, which helps us to shape our strategic vision and respond to the challenges faced by businesses in today’s dynamic market. We play an important role within Brixham but can only continue to do so with the active support of people prepared to get involved and give something back to their community.

Please ask yourself the following:
· Do you care about local business and Brixham?
· Do you have a couple of hours a month free?
· Do you want to support local initiatives?
· Do you want to play an active part in a growing and vibrant organisation?
· Do you want to give something back to the local business community?

If you answer Yes, to any of these questions then please download, complete and return this form to join an enthusiastic Executive team.

If you wish to discuss what the role on the Executive Committee entails, how much time commitment is required and so on, then please contact Martyn Green, Chamber secretary at Martyn.green1@tiscali.co.uk for more information.
